Off Route is a documentary project on the Jersey City neighborhood of Society Hill, a gated community locked behind New Jersey Route 440. How does a community survive, divided from the city it is a part of by the road meant to connect it?

This project consists of two parts: a video component demonstrating what the long walk to nearby transit feels like, and a website with the history of the area and the safety impacts of today.
